Luton Nomads were the first cricket club to become involved with
Crawley Green with Charirman, Fred Woodhouse, club secretary, Graham
Simpson and club captain, Martin Smith to ponder the building plans in the Playgroup area well before
a brick had been laid. In fact the Luton Nomads even helped with some
immediate financing with advanced membership fees.
The team is pictured above after winning the Chiltern Village Cricket League.
