Fred Woodhouse Memorial Day

Sadly earlier this year our founder, chairman and president, Fred Woodhouse, passed away. This year instead of a chairman's day the club held a Memorial day in honour of  Fred.  The format was as Fred would have wanted it with all the members of the club, old and new coming together to play a friendly game amongst ourselves to promote the ethos of the club - cricket and a family atmosphere.

This year amongst several new faces taking part in this annual event was, Rory Woodhouse - Fred's grandson.  For those who knew Fred, he spoke with great pride of Rory's talent and enthusiasm for the game and this was to be the year that Fred's would have realised his dream of seeing his grandson playing for the club that Fred formed and shaped over the years.  If Fred had been around he would have been the proudest grand dad in the world.

Thanks to all who made the day a real success by either playing, helping with the refreshments or just turning up to support the club.

Please enjoy some of the photos from the day.
